I have created some new pieces of jewelry from my spring and summer collection. Having a wedding? I do customer orders. Contact me.
Each piece of my lampwork jewelry is one-of-a-kind and is handcrafted by me in my home studio. The glass is melted, shaped and designed using a torch with oxygen and propane and then each piece is placed in a kiln to slowly cool down (anneal). The annealling process strengthens the glass against cracking.
My inspiration for working with glass came from my dad, who is a self-taught lampwork sculptor. As a child I would watch for hours as he created beautiful artwork in his studio at home.
Many years later, when my father could no longer work on his glass he gave me a lot of his lampworking supplies. I studied under a local artist for a period of time, and fell in love with lampworking. I then set up my own studio in the garage, making and designing lampwork beads.
I try to get as much time as possible in my home studio always coming up with new designs.
