Twenty-one ago my sister and I formed a small craft business together as an outlet for our creativity. It all started with lots of snowmen and several different sweatshirts. Several years later Jane moved to the mid-west and I took on sole proprietorship. The clothing line expanded and now has become "My Comfort Clothes" and the snowmen have gotten bigger but all items are still designed and hand-crafted in my sewing room in Auburn, Maine. I love to sew and I'm totally addicted to fabric!
"My Comfort Clothes" has become known for unique designs and fabrics used in the making of pullover sweatshirts ranging in size from Extra-Small to 3X. Ladies appliquéd tee shirts, sizes X-Small to 3X were added a few years later in response to the desire for nice-looking summer wear.
And in 2007, again responding to numerous customer requests, I began fashioning sweatshirt cardigans. Using coordinating fabrics, the cardigans are matched up with a t-shirt to be
worn as a set or individually. These sets with their classic lines and simple styles have quickly become the item of choice for many of my
NEW this year are long-sleeve tee shirts.
Who doesn't love a snowman? Oliver,Frosty Flake, Chilly Charlie, Wilbrrr Winter, Willy Freeze, Sebastian, Patrick, Louie and Appollo join The Crafty Snowman family of stuffed, never-melt snowmen.
